This would not be the seven storey building at First Avenue South and South King Street (built 1904–1905; that building survives as of 2007; the company does not); some details in Image:Seattle Hardware Co. - 1900.jpg make it clear that this is the building at 819-823 First Avenue mentioned in the caption of Downtown Seattle looking north from James Street, Seattle, ca. 1900 in the University of Washington Libraries Digital Collections. |
